The First Light Wine & Food Festival is Gisborne’s pre-eminent wine event.
Held on Sunday of Labour Weekend, 22 October 2023, the event brings wineries TW Wines and Matawhero Wines together for an amazing day of live music, great wines and superb food choices.

Wine & Food Gisborne prides itself on offering a premium wine event with over 14 varietals of Gisborne wine to try, partnered with great food choices prepared by our favourite local foodies.
We have multiple bands playing a range of music throughout the day, from jazz and accoustic through to indie bands and cover bands - there is something for everyone.
Not only do we have great wine, food and music, we offer a bus service between the venues around our great wine region.
